Solar Spice® enhances the offering of yellow evergreen leaved sedum selections, this time with bright yellow foliage often suffused with hints of paprika–especially during flowering when it produces upright floral stems that bear yellow flowers at their tops. Backward bending (reflexed) sprucelike leaves and trailing stems make Solar Spice® a fantastic choice for cascading over container edges and down retaining walls. It is also exceptional as a rock garden specimen, as a small to moderate sized ground cover, or in combination with the darker sedums and a host of other sun loving, drought tolerant perennials.

Care
Watering:
Solar Spice® Sedum is very drought tolerant and typically only needs watering during the hottest days of summer.
Fertilizing:
Solar Spice® Sedum is a moderate feeder, benefiting from a couple of annual applications of slow release fertilizer. A spring application of a 3-1-2 ratio (such as a 15-5-10) can be applied at a rate of about 10 pounds per 1000 square feet, and during early fall, an application of a 2-1-2 ratio (such as a 10-5-10) can be applied to encourage root development and cold hardiness.
Pruning:
Solar Spice® Sedum is evergreen and does not require pruning. It is normally only pruned for the purpose of keeping it within bounds.
