A hybrid with low growing habit, ‘Violet Pinwheels’ produces flowers that glow with an intense luminous violet-purple, unlike anything else! Borne in profusion, these pinwheel-shaped flowers begin opening in early spring, and eventually smother the low mats of gray-green needle-like foliage, creating brilliant rafts of color in the landscape. Ideal for rock gardens, slopes, or cascading over retaining walls.
