‘Big Time Blue’ lavender boasts super-sized wands of strikingly blue-violet blooms against aromatic grey-green foliage. While ‘Big Time Blue’ is early to flower, it blooms repeatedly well into fall. And, while its large fragrant blooms are larger than those of most other English lavenders, the habit is surprisingly compact, making it ideal for dwarf hedging, for edging borders, and as a complement to other perennials.

Care
Watering:
'Big Time Blue' Lavender is very drought tolerant and typically only needs watering during the hottest days of summer.
Fertilizing:
'Big Time Blue' Lavender is a moderate feeder, benefiting from a couple of annual applications of slow release fertilizer. A spring application of a 3-1-2 ratio (such as a 15-5-10) can be applied at a rate of about 10 pounds per 1000 square feet, and during early fall, an application of a 2-1-2 ratio (such as a 10-5-10) can be applied to encourage root development and cold hardiness.
Pruning:
'Big Time Blue' Lavender sets its flower buds in summer, and any pruning should be conducted in April, immediately after winter.
