Amsonia hubrichtii ‘Halfway to Arkansas’
Blooming Time
Exposure

Another fabulous Brent Horvath selection (Intrinsic Perennials), `Halfway to Arkansas’ displays a broad, rounded, compact habit and is clothed in deep dark rich green foliage. It looks very much like a soft billowy pillow. `Halfway to Arkansas’ is also a wind responsive “motion” plant that responds to the slightest breeze. Its starry flowers, colored a cheerful sky blue, are borne late spring/early summer, and make for interesting accent to its rich foliage. Uses of this fine plant range from erosion controlling ground cover to specimen or accent. It combines beautifully with numerous perennials, and given its broad range of light conditions, it finds a comfortable home in nearly every landscape.
