Pippa’s Purple™ is a very high-end vegetatively-propagated Lenten rose for early season interest in shady areas of the landscape. Pippa’s Purple™ is unique for its heavily marbled, silvery veined evergreen foliage. If it never bloomed, it would still be worth growing, just for the foliage. But, in late winter and early spring, it yields copious dusty-rose buds (high above the foliage), which unfurl to burgundy speckled plum-rose petals, centered with cheerful yellow stamens.
