This time-proven peony has been a favorite for more than 100 years. Its large, fancy blooms are made of the purest glistening white and have centers flecked with hints of carmine. The fully double flowers are 5 to 6-inches across, sweetly scented, and are among the longest lasting cut flowers. The broad, deep green clumping foliage of ‘Festiva Maxima’ makes an effective short hedge, general ground cover or border when planted enmasse. Peonies are extremely long lived once established and prefer full sun and rich soils.
