Spark™ is named for its sparky red-tipped foliage which provides color from spring to fall. Dwarf in habit, like Cherry Bomb™, Spark™ flowers little and differs from Cherry Bomb™ by having an “upright” rather than round habit. It’s a good substitute for Imperata ‘Red Baron’ (Japanese Blood Grass) and makes for an interesting dwarf hedge or accent plant where a neat and tidy colorful element is needed.
