Not surprisingly, `Raspberry Splash’ is named for its springtime frenzy of brightly colored flowers, in hues of raspberry, magenta, and coral. These are borne in good numbers above robust clumps of silvery polka-dotted, fuzzy green foliage. ‘Raspberry Splash’ is unique in that it can tolerate full sun, has great disease resistance, and boasts a larger habit than most Pulmonaria cultivars. It is very effective when used en masse, and offers nice contrast when used in combination with numerous perennials.

Care

Watering:

`Raspberry Splash' Lunwort is moderately drought tolerant but benefits from occasional watering, to maintain soil in a moist but not wet condition, during the summer months.

Fertilizing:

`Raspberry Splash' Lunwort is a moderate feeder, benefiting from a couple of annual applications of slow release fertilizer. A spring application of a 3-1-2 ratio (such as a 15-5-10) can be applied at a rate of about 10 pounds per 1000 square feet, and during early fall, an application of a 2-1-2 ratio (such as a 10-5-10) can be applied to encourage root development and cold hardiness.

Pruning:

`Raspberry Splash' Lunwort may be pruned or mowed immediately after flowering to remove spent flower stalks and to rejuvinate the plants.
